Be Neighborly:

Neighbors are the people who are always there. Though you may not interact with them, they exist.  Being cordial with your neighbor makes living, no matter where you are, much easier.

  • Say “Hello!”:  When you see your neighbor out and about, be sure to give them a wave and a smile.
  • Be Responsible with Your Pet: Pets are great to have in an apartment or home but remember to be respectful of them. Clean after them and keep them from barking loudly. Always pick up anything your pet may leave behind on the grass.
  • Be Quiet: Remember to be quiet during nighttime hours. During the night, try to keep your voice low and if you plan to be loud, please give your neighbor a heads up.
  • Park Mindfully: Make sure you park within the lines and don’t block your neighbors’ vehicles.
  • Respect Community Spaces: If you’re on the rooftop, using the pool/spa, laundry room, etc., be sure to be mindful of the area and respect it. Don’t monopolize those areas. If other people, like your neighbor, want to use it, share it with them.
  • Help Them in Rough Weather: If you’re cleaning up after a storm, go ahead and help your neighbor if you can. If they have debris on the patio, help gather them up. If you help your neighbors out, they’ll likely return the favor in the future.
  • Practice Kindness: Kindness is an amazing thing.  We don’t expect kindness but when it shows up – it multiplies itself.

FEBRUARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING:

The Board of Directors will be meeting Monday, February 26, 2024, at these times:

Executive Session – 6:30 pm (by invitation only).

General Session – 7:15 pm (all homeowners welcome to attend).

POOL CLOSURE:

The pool area will be closed from Monday, 02/26/24 through Thursday, 02/29/24 due to equipment replacement at 716 building-Santee Court.

HOME MAINTENANCE TIPS:

  • Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors monthly. Change the batteries in these items as part of your routine when you change the clocks in the fall and spring.
  • Change the filters in your home at intervals recommended by your HVAC manufacturer, especially if you have allergies or pets. A dirty filter means an inefficient system. Also arrange for season checks on your HVAC system to avoid emergency repairs.
  • Frequently check the water supply hose to your washing machine, which can leak and cause expensive damage.
  • Is your toilet running or your faucet leaking? Toilets that run and faucets that leak when not in use are wasting your water.
  • Chean around the vents and coils underneath and behind your refrigerator to support its efficiency.
  • Replace bulbs in fixtures. Consider using energy efficient light bulbs to help save you money over the years.
  • Check the windows. Clean interior of windows and screens, and replace any damaged seals or weather stripping.
  • Clean out storage. If you have a storage unit, clean out and store any seasonal gear/items. Consider donating unused items.
