The following officer positions were appointed: President – Lynn Pelkey;  Vice President—Tim Marshall; Secretary – Amy Yoon; Treasurer – Diego Cardoso; Director-at-Large – Erika Aklufi. Congratulations to the new Board and much success in 2024.

Santee Village Annual Party:

You are cordially invited to Santee Village’s Holiday Party on Friday, January 19th at 7:00 PM. Stop by for a drink, good food and great conversation! It’s a great way to meet your neighbors and your fairly new manager. All Santee Village residents are welcome. Please RSVP via your evite — or email pphamle@actionlife.com — by January 17th and let us know you will be attending!

Christmas Tree Disposal:

Please use the temporary GREEN trash bin, located near the ten-minute loading zone adjacent to the 746 basement elevator lobby, to dispose of your Christmas tree. Remember to 1) remove all decorations, tinsel and stand from the tree. Artificial trees and flocked trees cannot be accepted – please place them in your black bin; 2) Wrap your tree before transporting it to the dumpster and clean up any tree needles that may have fallen off during the trip to the dumpster.

Kick Off Your New Year With A Better You!

  • Get Organized – Start by cleaning out your closet and donating unwanted clothes to charity. Letting go of the extra stuff will help freshen up your space and leave you feeling lighter.
  • Get Active – Take the first step with walking. Before you know it, you will be running. Move for 30 minutes a day!
  • Spend More Time: Take the extra 5 minutes and call your loved ones you’ve been meaning to. Make time for daily or weekly check-in’s to catch up with your family/relatives and friends.
  • Start A Gratitude Journal: Write something you’re grateful for in it every day, even if that thing is just that you weren’t stuck in traffic that day. You’ll be able to look back, remember all the good things in your life, and maybe even have a laugh or two.

Tips for New Year’s Resolutions:

  • Be realistic. Pick a safe and attainable goal with a realistic timeframe.
  • Plan immediate goals if it helps you maintain control. Achieving these smaller goals also gives you a sense of accomplishment and motivation for the bigger projects.
  • Be flexible. Life is unpredictable, and obstacles may arise. Set aside time to reflect on your progress, reassess your goals, and adjust your strategies as needed. Flexibility increases the likelihood of long-term success.
  • Use the buddy system. Rely on your friends to support you in your resolutions.
  • Choose resolutions that align with your interests and passions. If you enjoy the process, you’re more likely to stick with it in the long run.

Reminder: Packages and Deliveries

With the rise of package deliveries during this holiday season, there will likely be increased attempts at package theft. While Management and Security are taking the necessary precautions to prevent package thefts, it will take everyone’s help to help prevent theft. Please make sure to

  • Track deliveries online and promptly retrieve your package once delivered.
  • Include in the delivery instructions to deliver the package to your door and make sure someone is home to receive it. Packages should not be delivered and left in the lobby.
  • Stop auto-deliveries if you are not going to be home.
  • Consider switching delivery location to work where it can be received by someone and not left at your door.
  • High-value items should be retrieved at the carrier’s physical location or some alternative address.
