Annual Life and Safety Training and Testing
The Los Angeles Fire Department requires that all high-rise buildings have annual inspections; staff and resident training; and a practice fire drill.
Tuesday, January 10th – REG 4 TESTING
The Los Angeles Fire Department requires an annual inspection to test the audible devices located inside ALL residential and commercial units. Unit inspections in the Cornell and Eckardt buildings will be between the hours of 7 AM and 9:30 AM and should last less than a minute per unit.
During the testing day, you will hear alarms. Interruption of power is expected for approximately 45-60 minutes during the test. Elevator service will also be intermittent for a period during the test, expect delays in elevator service.
Friday January 13th – FIRE SAFETY TRAINING
Santee Village’s annual resident fire safety training will also be held on Friday January 13th at 4:00 PM in the Management Office. All residents are encouraged to attend.
Friday January 13th – ANNUAL FIRE DRILL
At 4:30 PM, all residents on the property are strongly encouraged to participate in a required LAFD fire drill. This will be a simulated fire drill with alarms, sirens, and a practice building evacuation. If you or your animal are sensitive to noise and lights, please plan accordingly.
