General Good Neighbor Reminders:
Our association’s rules were formulated to preserve our community’s appearance, protect the value of our common property and homes, and make our neighborhood more harmonious for all. It is important to know the rules and do our best to abide by them.
- Noise: Please be mindful that, in most cases, you may have someone over or under your unit. Small acts, such as taking off your shoes inside, quietly shutting doors, and keeping your music and TV sound at a reasonable volume, help maintain the community’s harmony and peace and make you a better neighbor and community member.
- Patios and outdoor areas: Please be considerate when using your outdoor spaces, especially when entertaining late in the evenings. Clean your patio by sweeping and mopping instead of hosing it down as excessive water runoff can be a common source of annoyance for neighbors below.
- Pets: Los Angeles County’s leash laws and Santee Village’s Rules and Regulations do not allow any untethered pets, including cats and dogs, to run free. Pets must be leashed at all times. Additionally, we have noticed pet urine and feces routinely left in common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and elevators. Pet waste must be removed and disposed of immediately. We ask that everyone be responsible when out with their pets and respect their neighbors.
Fascinating Father’s Day Facts:
- Although the practice of honoring fathers on the third Sunday in June began in the US, it is now used a Father’s Day in more than 40 countries around the world. However, some countries use March 19 to celebrate Father’s Day as that is also the feast day of St Joseph, Jesus’s father on earth.
- Father’s Day in Thailand is also the king’s birthday, which is December 5. It is traditional to carry out good deeds to mark the day, with many people giving blood. This also celebrates the day with fireworks.
- In contrast, in Germany, Father’s Day is referred to as Männertag and involves drinking lots of beer and eating traditional food. Unsurprisingly, it can be a quite raucous affair.
