FORECAST – RED FLAG WARNINGS STILL IN PLACE:
The fierce winds that fueled massive, destructive wildfires in the Los Angeles area subsided Friday, 01/10. However, critical fire weather conditions remain, and red flag warnings are still in place.
- The forecast calls for moderate to strong winds to return to the Los Angeles area Monday afternoon into Tuesday.
- Air quality has reached unhealthy levels in the Los Angeles area due to increased fine particle pollution from wildfire smoke. The smoke advisory was extended through Sunday.
- We recommend staying indoors with windows and doors closed, avoiding outdoor physical activity, and using air purifiers (if available) along with your A/C.
- If you must be outdoors, keep the time brief and wear and well-fitting N-95 mask.
CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL:
Please use the temporary GREEN trash bin, located near the ten-minute loading zone adjacent to the 746 basement elevator lobby, to dispose of your Christmas tree. The bin is available through next Wednesday, 01/15/2025.
Remember to
- Remove all decorations, tinsel, and stand from the tree. Artificial trees and flocked trees cannot be accepted – please place them in your black bin;
- Wrap your tree before transporting it to the dumpster and clean up any tree needles that may have fallen off during the trip to the dumpster.
