PLUMBING REPAIRS REMINDERS:
- Advance Notice Required:
Please notify management at least 48 hours in advance before starting any plumbing work. - Work May Affect Other Units:
Plumbing systems in the building are shared vertically, meaning repairs in one unit can impact water supply or drainage in others. - Water Shut-Offs Must Be Coordinated:
Any temporary shut-off must be scheduled through management to ensure proper advanced notice is given to all affected residents and minimize disruption. - Licensed and Insured Plumbers Only:
All plumbing work must be performed by a licensed and insured professional. Proof of insurance may be required in advance. - Access to Common Areas or Neighboring Units:
In some cases, repairs may require access to adjacent units or common plumbing chases. Please coordinate early to allow time for proper arrangements. - Emergency Repairs:
In the event of a plumbing emergency, contact management immediately. Emergency access protocols will apply.
FIRE SPRINKLERS – WHAT NOT TO DO:
- Please remember that hanging items on fire sprinklers is prohibited. It can obstruct the sprinkler’s function and pose a serious safety hazard.
- For everyone’s safety, please do not hang decorations, plants, hangers, light fixtures or string lights, clothes, towels, fabrics, coats, bags, tools, equipment, cables, wires, extension cords, or any heavy objects or weight-bearing items.
- Should a sprinkler unit break, an enormous amount of water comes out with no way to stop it. This can cause significant water damage to property, furniture, electronics, and important documents.
- The water in fire sprinkler systems is not clean or safe for drinking. It often sits in pipes for long periods, which can lead to contamination from rust, dust, bacteria, and other impurities. Sprinkler water can spread contaminants when it floods an area.
- Accidental sprinkler activation can disrupt businesses, residences, or operations, causing downtime and inconvenience.
- Unnecessary activation can strain the fire protection system and may reduce its effectiveness when a real fire occurs.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping Santee Village a safe and harmonious community!
